Holidays are fun, but they sure can be exhausting, both emotionally and physically.
Even before the holidays officially begin, the buildup of traffic – and tempers – is enough to put you on edge. If that’s what’s meant by the holiday spirit, I don’t want any. On the other hand, I love the holidays for many reasons, as long as I can leave the madness behind:
I get to catch up on a lot of good movies (Saw Spotlight yesterday – well done! Seeing Joy tomorrow- excited!)
I get to catch up with friends and family
I get to wake up without an alarm clock
I get to eat homemade Christmas cookies (thanks, Marylou!)
I get to say “Merry Christmas” to everyone who celebrates, and always get a smile in return
I get to say “This is the warmest Christmas on record!” and enjoy the warm temps (apologies to those who were wishing for a white Christmas…)
If you’re feeling depleted but want to maintain your merriment, here are some great tips you can work into your day. And, they’re brought to you by one of my favorite editors, Lynya Floyd, health director of Family Circle magazine. (My favorite tip? It involves CHOCOLATE).

To all my readers: May you enjoy the holidays and keep your wits about you. I’ll be back in 2016 to share more great health, beauty and fashion tips and bring you along on other miscellaneous meanderings of mine!
