It’s been a long while since you last heard from me. I hope you are all staying well!
Long story short…a pandemic happened and threw our lives into quite a tizzy. At the same time, I gave MySoCalledMidlife a makeover. It was time.
Whew. A lot of changes.I’m excited about this change: MySoCalledMidlife has morphed into a new newsletter called thePause. As before, I’m still focused on offering the latest in health information.
I co-founded thePause with Jennifer Owens, a writer/editor focused on women, wellness and work. She and I worked together at HealthyWomen.org and I’m so glad that we’re able to bring our passion and creativity to this new project. Our sensibilities and work ethics match perfectly — and it’s so much fun having another person to bounce ideas off of! (Being a freelancer can often be a lonely endeavor.)
thePause is a weekly email newsletter designed to serve the growing health information needs of women like ourselves: busy, smart, inclusive women who need help navigating the muddy and oft-times confusing transition through menopause.
It’s important for all of us to take care of ourselves, even as we take care of so many others in our lives. That means being informed, but it also means getting away from the grim pandemic mayhem, if only for a moment.
There’s so much of our lives ahead of us — and especially as the world around us implodes? explodes? turns inside out and upside down? – the one thing we know for sure is that more than ever we could all use a moment to take a Pause.
Since you were a subscriber to MySoCalledMidlife — and thank you for your loyal readership all these years — you’ll now receive thePause in your inbox bright and early each Monday morning. I know you’ll love it, stay with it, and share it with your friends.

I’m 67, way beyond menopause and on Medicare. Not sure a mid-life women’s health newsletter is relevant to me. I’ll check it out though. Good luck to you. Be well.
