I used to. Sometimes, circumstances were such that I had no choice.
But after a while, I decided it wasn’t worth all the effort.
I wasn’t fooling anyone.
In fact, faking it was getting dangerous.
People could tell. Especially when they got…so long.
They knew what I was up to.
Especially the time my false eyelash fell into my drink at a bar. What can I tell you? As a young 20-something, I wanted to look glam. But instead, I looked like Lucille Ball in the movie, Yours Mine and Ours. (A truly funny scene – in the movie, not in the bar).
But I considered faking it again after I hit 50 and along with all the changes of menopause, my eyelashes started to get sparse. No longer would mascara help give me those coveted eye fringes.

Until….I tried this product. It is seriously fabulous. My eyelashes are so long now that they hit the lenses of my eyeglasses. They’re so long I hardly recognize them as belonging to moi.
Psst…wanna know my secret? I’m using a product called GrandeLash-MD. It’s like Latisse, only you don’t need a prescription and it won’t change the color of your eyes.
All you do is this: before you go to bed, you apply it as you’d apply a liquid eyeliner, along the upper lash line.(I guess you could do it on your lower lashes, too, but the way they grow, I’m afraid they’d be touching my cheekbones!)
It takes about 4-6 weeks to see results.
So…if your New Year’s resolution is to have longer lashes, you won’t have to break it. How’s that?
And to save you a little $$, use this code for free shipping. It expires at the end of December: HOLIDAY.
Cheers!

It’s a deal, Irene!

My eyelashes seem to be holding up, it’s my eyebrows that are disappearing. Could this be used for eyebrows too?
SherylK says
Actually, they do have a product for eyebrows, too, called GrandeBrow. I’ve been using that one as well, and have seen results, though nowhere as dramatic as the eyelashes.

I’m blond and used to use mascara, but now shy away from makeup. What is in this miracle product? Your eyelashes hit your glasses?? Whoa!
SherylK says
According to the literature, the product “contains vitamins, peptides and amino acids plus conditioning ingredients.” On further study, I see the list of ingredients to include “hydrolyzed glycosaminoglycans, sodium hyualuronate, panthenol, vitis vinifera (Grape) seed extract, and more.

glad this is working as you’d like to, Sheryl.

Sheryl,
Sounds great. Do you know what ingredients are in the product that makes it work so well?

SherylK says
Estelle, see above. Alexandra wondered this herself. Take a look at their website (http://www.grandelashmd.com/) for more info.

Nice to find something easy to use and that you can get relatively easily. Glad it’s working for you and you’re liking the results!!!

Well, I am happy for you. Who doesn’t want to look gorgeous. But on the other hand, I’m wary about what I put around my eyes. Even the best of mascaras seem to irritate my eyes, particularly if I leave them on overnight, so I can’t imagine that my body would be happy with a compound that stimulates growth. Have you ask your ophthalmologist about this stuff?
Donna Hull says
Will it help you grow more eyelashes? Mine are still long but thinning out.
Estelle Sobel Erasmus says
Sheryl,
Wow. I want to try this product but I’m a little nervous about using anything chemical. Also, I might have commented on this before. I also would love to see a close up pic of your eyelashes.
